Sometime it can be done when they say it can’t
Posted by amy on 20 January 2014 10:53 AM

“Last time I opened a ticket with Third Tier…the technician with whom I worked solved a very difficult problem involving the connection between a new Exchange server and a third-party data sync utility. I really had no hope that he would get things worked out as even the people who wrote the third-party program despaired of getting it running, and was delighted that the results were so positive.” ,John R. Albrektson, Albrektson & Shumate Law Group

Sometimes it’s that other set of eyes. Someone who isn’t as close to the problem as you are. Sometimes it takes that to be able to see things clearly or to try something out of the box. It’s OK we all get stuck in the box sometimes.

We’re always happy when it turns out well for our clients and we can help them get the situation figured out and the problem resolved. We live for that. We’d like to help you too.

The Value of Knowing Your Stuff
Posted by amy on 13 January 2014 01:40 PM

“My favorite technician to work with at Third Tier is Chris Matthews because… he knows his stuff.” ,Bernard MacNeil Arctic Digital Ltd.

We all know “our stuff” don’t we? But there’s value in knowing someone that knows “his stuff” because it’s a big IT world out there and you might find yourself outside of “your stuff” and into “his stuff”. Sure you’re smart; you could figure it out. But how long is that going to take? Two times or three times as long as it should probably.

That’s where we come in. Tell us what you’ve tried already. We’re not going to reinvent the wheel. We’re going to move forward and get it done.

How do you do that? Open an account with us. There’s no charge. Just keep that account on standby. Then when you run into something that outside of your stuff, open a ticket. Tell us about it and let us get it done for you.

Did you get your Crypo Locker kit?
Posted by amy on 06 January 2014 01:23 PM

“I follow Third Tier’s blog because…of the great information like the Crypto prevention.”, Anonymous

At Third Tier, well let’s face it, we’re geeks that like to geek. So when a problem like Cryptolocker came along we read the materials and about it and said to ourselves, that’s nice but what should we do about it? Thus the Cryptolocker Prevention Kit was born.

This blog became the place where updates to the kit were announced and published. I hope that you got your kit, read the updates and were able to protect all of your clients from this horrible affliction. We like to help make you great! Because you see, we’re not only geeks trying to make a living but we’re also very community driven. So if you don’t have your kit yet, or haven’t caught up on the updated information then click here to read all about it. This link will bring together all of our blog posts on the topic into one complete page for you. http://www.thirdtier.net/?s=crypto

If you aren’t following us on our social media locations please do. We’d love to see you there.

Do your clients love you?
Posted by amy on 23 December 2013 10:09 AM

“My clients love that I use Third Tier because… It shows that I’m not afraid to consult with someone to get a faster resolution to the issue at hand.” Steve Rosenthal

Clients love fast problem resolution times. They also know that some problems are more difficult to solve than others. With the crazy busy schedule that IT consultants keep these days using your time effectively is critical. One of the best ways to extend your staff is to have a stable of experts at the ready when you need them.

Will they love you less because you don’t know everything? No way. They will love you more because you know people that can get the problem solved.

We’re more than just tech support
Posted by amy on 18 December 2013 12:56 PM

I know that anyone over at Third Tier will be exceptional. I do not have a favorite. I do love to read Amy’s business insights and all of her opinions, suggestions, and advice have truly helped me open my eyes. I love her business model and I thank her for sharing these topics.

Joe Fulgieri, JMF TechServices, Inc.

Thanks Joe! Joe got these insights though his subscription to the SMBKitchen Project. We’ve been talking about the future – business, hyper-v, non-Microsoft solutions, essentials server, monthly patching directions, exchange, and more.  If you didn’t subscribe you aren’t too late. You can still gain access to all of the information that we published as part of the project. We’ll be published additional documents through February. So join up!
